HTL Chartered Accountant Johor Bahru Malaysia
Use this Malaysia tax-audit readiness checklist to assess whether your corporate tax, accounting, payroll, transfer-pricing and indirect-tax records are organised before an LHDN audit notice arrives.
Only tick an item if the records are complete, reconciled and can be produced promptly.
Close the largest evidence and reconciliation gaps first. A Malaysian tax audit may be conducted as a desk audit or field audit, and HASiL may request records supporting the filed return. Businesses generally need to preserve relevant tax records for seven years.
Important: This checklist is a management screening tool, not a guarantee that no adjustment will arise. The scope depends on the years, taxes and issues selected by HASiL. Review the current HASiL audit frameworks and HTL’s tax-audit support services.
